What is PermaPaper™?
PermaPaper™ products are made from extremely high grade polyester which means they have far superior characteristics to other synthetic papers that are commonly manufactured from Polypropylene materials. and PermaPaper has the strength and durability of plastic but the appearance and printability of paper with so many additional beneficial features.
What printers can I use?
PermaPaper™ can be printed on any of the following technology printers or can be used in artwork with alcohol or shellac inks. So you can print using laser printers , offset, toner-fusion (photocopiers), flexo, screen, rotogravure, letter press. PermaPaper™ CANNOT be printed using water based inks so CANNOT be printed using inkjet printers.
Can I return stock?
Yes in the rare circumstances there is something wrong with the product. I.e. if the product for any reason is faulty we accept returns however once the product leaves our warehouse we have no way of knowing under what circumstance the product is stored so generally it’s not possible to accept returns.
Will PermaPaper™ tear?
Normally no but if you make a cut it will tear along that line.
What is the shelf-life of PermaPaper™ paper?
PermaPaper™ product shelf-life is dependent on many factors including application, storage conditions and format (roll vs. sheet); it is therefore difficult to set a specific shelf-life time period. As is normal practice, we recommend that stock be used in FIFO fashion using the date of delivery as your guide. At a minimum, you should expect 1 year from date of delivery regardless of date-of-manufacturing as long as product is stored in their original packaging and under typical warehouse conditions (not exceeding 120 ºF). Any product that has been opened and is being returned to storage should be properly resealed. For stock that has exceeded this time period, best practice is to confirm performance under specific application and/or contact our Technical people on 1300 607 600 for guidance.
Does printing on PermaPaper™ require different inks than printing on paper?
No not generally.. PermaPaper™ Can be printed on any of the following technology printers or can be used in artwork with alcohol or shellac inks laser, offset, toner-fusion(photocopiers), flexo, screen, rotogravure, letter press. PermaPaper™ cannot be printed using water based inks.
Can conventional inks be used on PermaPaper™?
Yes, PermaPaper™ Can be printed on any of the following technology printers or can be used in artwork with alcohol or shellac inks laser , offset ,  toner-fusion (photocopiers), flexo, screen, rotogravure, letter press. PermaPaper™ cannot be printed using  water based inks.
Can PermaPaper™ be printed on any digital press?

Is PermaPaper™ certified for HP® Indigo*?
No not certified but if this is your requirement please contact us for specific advice on our products that are suitable ..
How can we control static when printing on PermaPaper™?
Normally this is not a problem we encounter however if you have experienced some problems please contact us for technical advice.
What is the typical standard drying time for PermaPaper™?
Normally immediately for  all practical purposes …..but as with all print processes the longer the drying time allowed the stronger the ink adhesion  and of course ink adhesion is again improved when printing on PermaPaper™ using inks formulated for synthetic paper.
What is the difference between PermaPaper™ ULTRA and PermaPaper™ PRO?
Not much.. However there are some slight product differences other than the price by way of:
  • PermaPaper™ ULTRA   is a little whiter and therefore Brighter however the printed product is almost indiscernable..
  • PermaPaper™ ULTRA is higher in opacity.
Is die cutting possible with PermaPaper™?
Yes.
Does PermaPaper™ come in different colours?
Yes please contact us for the whole range of colours available on Special Order.
Can I get PermaPaper™ cut to a special size?
